Marianne
Kind of old-school and clearly nostalgic, I like clothing, objects and songs from the past.
I am said to be warm, attentive and affectionate, friendly. People say I make them feel at ease. And all of which is true : I am not someone you will feel shy with.
Perhaps I inherited :
a kind of playfulness from my granddad, Paul-Émile;
perhaps, my grandmother, Georgette‘s caring nature ;
certainly, my mother’s energy and openness,
and the pleasure dad would take in things being well-organized and a job well-done.
Mother to my own baby and 7-and-three-quarter year old, I am fascinated by motherhood and then childhood. I know how quickly time passes. And so, my camera provides me a glimpse of what it would be like to have the power to make time stand still a bit.
My approach
A lover of analogue photography, I have made it a regular practice for more than 20 years. I have a rather classical approach to photography, geared towards the moment captured and the play of light. A family historian of sorts, I document daily lives and special events. My intention is always to allow people to admire, feel, even touch their memories. To relive them at will. To hold onto the past.
Sessions with me take place exclusively in natural lighting, at your home or outside somewhere, in places that carry a special significance for you. The “lifestyle” or “documentary” approaches I use, that involve either a bit of direction or only silent observation, allow me to create images both simple and honest. that capture the essence of who you are and how you feel when you are with the ones you love.
With my goodwill and an artistic touch, I create photographs that, like story books, tell of the beauty of people and the moments they share. Little works of art that make memories tangible, to be cherished and passed on.
